The Sunni and Shia are the two main branches of Islamic jurisprudence. Sunnis represent the majority of Muslims. For Sunnis, there are four main schools to choose from: Hanafi, Shafei, Maliki, and Hanabali.

1. Hanafi School, which is attended by the vast majority of Muslims in India. Abu Hanifa started this school.

2. Maliki School: It was developed by Maliki, who studied more about customs, the Prophet’s usage, and the examples set by his companions.

3. Shafei School . This institution was founded by Imam Shafei, who was renowned for his impartial judgement and balancing of viewpoints. He was Qiyas’s maker.

4. Hanabali School: Hanbal, who followed strictly the traditions, and founded this school. He gave the analogy and concurrence doctrine an incredibly small margin of error and a generous interpretation.
