People are not aware of a fact that if any crime commit against anyone, he or she not only can lodge FIR to police officer rather can file complaint directly to magistrate.
Even if police officer has filled closure report after investigation Magistrate can take cognizance against it and start further proceedings in a case.

Police officer cannot take signature of a person who is giving statement at the time of recording of statements during investigation

If accused send before Magistrate for recording of confession and there he refused to give confession then such accused shall be sent to judicial custody and not to police remand
