Rights of Sellers under Transfer of Property Act

The rights of sellers are given in Section 55(4) of Transfer of Property Act, 1882 The rights are as follows: –

Right to get rent and profit: The seller has the right to receive rents and profits coming from the property until the ownership has been transferred to the buyer.

Right to get interest on unpaid money: the seller has the right to a charge upon the property for the amount of the purchase-money, or any part thereof remaining unpaid, and for interest on such amount or part, where the ownership of the property has been passed to the buyer before payment of the whole amount.
